Prizes: In the spirit of the event, the winner of this tournament will receive a randomly selected prize from a wheel spin after the results of the tournament are in. This will be streamed live along with a debrief of the event.
Sign-ups: Contact @graham by 10pm EST Thursday 1/1 on Discord to let him know you want to play. Warlords will be assigned live on NirvanaTool’s stream 1/2. Decklists are due by 10pm EST Wednesday 1/7 to the Eagle deck checker (AKA, “Bobby 2.0”).
Event Start: Thursday 1/8/25 @ 10 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Format: Saga. Only Into the Accordlands will be legal. Every participant will be assigned a random Warlord and must build and play a legal deck for that Warlord. During sign ups, you can specify either 1) nothing, 2) a faction, or 3) a class.
If you specify nothing, you will have an equal chance (1/31) of being assigned any Warlord, and can build that Warlord however you want.
If you specify a faction, you will have an even chance at any Warlord of that faction (including the draft Warlord) plus Nisha. Nisha must be played as the chosen faction, and she and the draft Warlord can be any class. For example, specifying Deverenian would lead to an even chance between Church Enforcer Tancred, Lord Belasco, Librarian Shastra, High Acolyte Hellene, Archivist Myrina, and Nisha.
If you specify a class, you will have an even chance of any Warlord of that class, plus all draft Warlords (who must be played as that class). Nisha will not be included. For example, specifying cleric would lead to an even chance between Adathan Celestial Messenger, Anacaona, Annetta Yscar, High Acolyte Hellene, Kurak Stonejaw, Memoriam, Shyessa the Weaver, Archivist Myrina, Seeker, Grovewarden Elumera, Hunter Merril, Ramesh Elder Sage and Kazkah.
Tournament Structure: Matched Swiss Pairs. Rounds will be a 3-per-week format. Rounds will be posted on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays. 5 or 6 preliminary rounds depending on numbers, then cut to an 8-player or 16-player single-elimination bracket, depending on numbers, with play-ins in case of ties.
The Ugly List: Ugly Ancients — Saga of the Storm. The Ugly List is not in effect for this event.
