Prizes: Where to begin!? Up to three new players to our online events (who have not entered a standard monthly event since at least August of 2024) will be selected to receive a pre-constructed, ready to play Ancients deck. In addition to that, the six players who rank the highest in their faction (sorry, Chosen) will receive a custom 3-D printed deck box themed for their faction, complete with custom 3-D printed tokens. The runner up will also win a sealed 20th Anniversary Celebration pack. And the grand prize winner of the tournament will win a sealed original Battle Box from 2001 AND a custom-designed, pre-painted Hero Forge figure of their winning warlord!

Event Start: Thursday 9/11/25 @ 10 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Format: Ancients Format. Spoiled 5E Warlords will be legal (found here).
Tournament Structure: Matched Swiss Pairs. Rounds will be a 3-per-week format. Rounds will be posted on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays. 5 or 6 preliminary rounds depending on numbers, then cut to an 8-player or 16-player single-elimination bracket, depending on numbers, with play-ins in case of ties.
The Ugly List: Ugly Ancients — Saga of the Storm - These Warlords have never known the thrill of a top 8 appearance. Can you make their dreams come true? These Warlords are also worth extra points in the Online Circuit rankings!
The Legendary List: The Legendary List is NOT active for Worlds. All players have their choice of Warlord!

MRP, Errata and Bans: This tournament will be played on the most recent Ancients update, with some exceptions. Details around all updates and changes found below.
Wyvern’s Flames is unbanned, as per the latest update
Tzin’s Secret is banned, as per the latest update.
Duanna is banned, and will remain banned in Online Ancients for the foreseeable future.
A Prophecy Fulfilled and Negotiated Surrender will be banned for this event in August and Worlds in September. We are interested in testing these cards out at some point, but do not want to dramatically shake up the meta just before Worlds this year.
Halo of Secrets is considered to have the following text, instead of what is printed: "May not perform actions other than the following: Spend React: After a Deverenian is targeted by an action (not a melee strike): Cancel the action. This action may not cancel Standard Orders." The standard orders are attacking, equipping an item from hand, and maneuvering.
Amulet of Waking is considered to have the following text, instead of what is printed: For the purposes of card effects, targeting, and react triggers (not game effects or other parts of a cost), this character is always considered ready. This character may perform non-Spend actions while stunned.
